Daily Digest: 6/12/10: Landed Another Acting Role!

Normally I don’t answer blocked phone calls, but I’m glad I picked this one up! Yesterday I had an audition for the lead role in a theater production called “Dark Side of the Moon.” I auditioned for the hero character named “Mann” and just got a call from the company and I got the role! Mann is the star character and I’m really excited to play this character. It’ll broaden my acting spectrum to a great degree and I’m pretty damn stoked about it

The Next Stage Theater is where the show will be playing at, and it’s right in the middle of Hollywood so it attracts lots of industry people to come watch the shows there – actors, actresses, agents, etc. all attend, so it’ll be a great chance to be showcased and scouted. Russell Brand from “Get Him To The Greek” frequents the place, so it would be cool if he came and watched me perform!

Also got to see a great documentary last night at the New Media Film Festival in downtown LA and hit up the VIP room for some amazing gluten free cookies Followed by a concert in Santa Monica by “French Horn Rebellion” who played some amazing music and got the crowd really amped up! My friend got us backstage passes so we got to chill with the guys before the show and had some drinks with them – super cool guys and awesome beats!

Now I’m off to the gym for some low volume strength training and some MMA style conditioning. Maybe a run up in the Hollywood Hills if this cloud cover would finally pass.

Oh, and in the World Cup… not a bad performance by USA! Tied it up with England – I’ll take it!
